Extrudalizer offers two ways of mapping artwork to the front or back of the Extrudalized shape. The basic method is used for any animation that is not going to be exported to Lottie. It is quick and conserves resources, but it will not be exported as part of a Lottie animation due to the current limitations of the format. If you are planning to create a Lottie animation check the box in the Map Art dialog that you are presented with when you click on the Map Art button on the first tab of the UI. The details of how to use these features are below.
This approach will use the coordinates found in the Parenting Data section of the Layer Controller and a Corner Pin effect to bind a pre-composed artwork to the front, back or both faces of the Extrudalized shape that you have created. The workflow is simple:
Select the Extrudalized layer you wish to apply art mapping to.
this dialog populates only if there are layers that have been Extrudalized.
If you are not planning to export your animation to Lottie do not check the large checkbox.
Select the faces you wish to map the artwork to.
Click Proceed

❗ IMPORTANT
◆ The pre-composition has to maintain the same aspect ratio as the origin shape. This is necessary to maintain the correct proportions of your artwork when it is deformed using corner pins parented to the corners of the Extrudalized shape’s bounding box.
◆ The pre-composition will contain the Origin shape. It is there to serve as a template — a visual representation of where you can place your artwork. Once you had added the artwork in the way that you like, hide the Origin shape so that it will not be visible on the face of the Extrudalized shape.
◆ You can use the Origin shape as a mask to hide all artwork that would spill out beyond the shape’s bounds. This way you can ensure that the artwork fits perfectly to the face of the Extrudalized shape.

Here we will explain the limitations of mapping artwork for the use in Lottie animations. You can only use shape layers as Artwork for Lottie. The process is a little different from the standard Art Mapping approach:
Prepare one shape layer with your artwork — it should be the approximate size of the face of the Extrudalized shape you are planning to apply it to.
You can have the shapes/shape groups animated so long as you are animating the properties inside the Shape groups.
Once you are happy with your artwork, group all the shapes inside the layer into one shape group.
Once you have clicked on the Map Art button, you will be presented with a dialog that will require some information:
Select the Extrudalized layer you wish to apply art mapping to.
This dialog populates only if there are layers that have been Extrudalized.
Check the large checkbox to indicate your intention for this to be used in a Lottie export.
Select the faces you wish to map the artwork to.
Click Proceed.
Extrudalizer will create one or two shape layers (depending on whether you selected one or two faces):

contained inside the ARTWORK WRAPPER
group.
